Turkey - Euro 2024 Turkish Football

The English FA have invited Turkey to play an international friendly on May 22 at the Etihad stadium according to the Sun.

England are set to play a series of international games away from Wembley for the first time since 2007 in preparation for the European Championships this summer.

The English national team are set to play three more international friendlies before the summer tournament.

The Three Lions have played Turkey 10 times winning eight and drawing on two occasions.

The Turkish community in England have had to wait 14 years for the Crescent-Stars to play in Wembley.

The last time England played Turkey was in the 2003 in Istanbul with the game ending in a goalless draw.

The Crescent-Stars and England have both booked a place in Euro 2016 this summer. England will be taking on Wales, Slovakia and Russia in Group B while Turkey face Spain, Croatia and Czech Republic.
