Mersin manager Rıza Çalımbay admitted he was disappointed with his sides performance following the 1-1 draw against Kayseri Erciyesspor.

“It was difficult playing on this surface, we could not make the passes we wanted to,” Çalımbay said.

“We did defend well and did not allow our opposition to get into many positions but we did not provide much of an attacking threat either so a draw was a fair result.

“Both sides put in a lot of effort but unfortunately quality was lacking for both sides.

“The refereeing decisions were not very good but it has become the norm now.

“But at the end of the day a point is a point, what is important is that we managed to win a point despite not playing particularly well.”

Erciyesspor but an end to Mersin’s five match win streak at home with the draw.

Mersin remained in fifth place and Erciyesspor moved into 13 position following the draw.
