Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has praised Fatih Terim [divider]
Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan praised Fatih Terim following Turkey’s 4-0 hammering against Brazil.
“Fatih Terim is a good coach,” Erdoğan said.
“If the players don’t play what is Fatih to do? is he supposed to go and play himself?
“He is doing a good job and is a successful person.”
Turkey are yet to win a single Euro 2016 Group A qualification game.
Terim has guided Turkey to losses against Iceland and Czech Republic as well as a 1-1 draw against Latvia.
The experienced coach has a 52 percent win record since taking over as national team coach 1.5 years ago.
Turkey are without a win in their last four games including international friendlies.
Last placed Turkey face Kazakhstan next at the Türk Telekom Arena. Turkey and Kazakhstan are joint on one point after three games, neither side are yet to record a single victory in Group A.
