Euro giants offer wage increase following reports of Mourinho wanting £22m Brazilian star at Man United

Besiktas have offered Anderson Talisca a wage increase which would see his yearly salary rise from €1.6 million to €2 million next season.

Talisca spent the season on loan with Besiktas but the Turkish champions have the option to extend the deal.

The Black Eagles did take up the option to extend his temporary stay by another season.

The Brazilian attacking midfielder has however, been demanding a pay increase.

Besiktas were not prepared to meet his demands but Fanatik report that following interest from United they have agreed to his proposal.

Talisca does have a £22 million release clause which remains active.

The powerful midfielder enjoyed an impressive campaign scoring 17 times and providing six assists for the Turkish league champions.

Besiktas will compete in the Champions League group stage for the second season running and have made keeping Talisca on their books a priority.

The 23-year-old sparked a media storm after he told Globoesporte that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho ‘wants him’: “That is a question I can not give an answer to just yet.

“I cannot deny there is interest but what happens next depends on Benfica and my representatives.

“There will be news on this soon.

“Look every player dreams of playing under him [Jose Mourinho].

“Mourinho wants me, he has wanted me for a long time and I am an admirer of his work.

“I had a good season so we will see what happens.”
