Everton enter the race for Arsenal's David Ospina

Everton have joined Fenerbahce in the race to sign the Colombian international goalkeeper David Ospina.

According to Eurosport the the Merseyside club have expressed an interest in the 26-year-old. Ospina however has expressed a desire to remain in London and at Arsenal.

Ospina is set to leave Arsenal over the summer following the Gunners signing of Chelsea keeper Petr Cech according to the Mirror.

The Yellow Canaries have been in the market for a new goalkeeper after recently appointed sporting director Giuliano Terraneo declared current first choice keeper Volkan Demirel as not being up to par.

The Istanbul giants recently signed Fabiano from Porto however, it is unclear whether the Brazilian keeper will be Fenerbahce’s number one.

Ospina joined the Gunners on a €4 million move from Nice last season and kept 10 clean sheets in 23 games for Arsenal.
