Everton join race to sign Turkish playmaker compared to Zinedine Zidane – Man United & Chelsea also interested
Everton are the latest side to be linked with a move for Besiktas playmaker Oğuzhan Özyakup.
The star playmaker – who has been compared to Zinedine Zidane by former Turkey international Rıdvan Dilmen – has been linked with a move away from the Istanbul giants in recent weeks.
Özyakup has been dropped from Senol Gunes’ starting line-up for three weeks in a row, including Besiktas’ win over Porto in the UEFA Champions League,
The 25-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, meaning Besiktas may be forced into selling him in January if they can not strike a new deal.
