Both Everton and Liverpool received a boost in the race to sign the Turkish international full-back Caner Erkin.

Reports last week suggested that Erkin was close to a move to Inter Milan this summer.

However, Erkin’s agent Batur Altiparmak has played down the reports.

“Recently, there were some rumours Erkin had already signed a deal with Inter, but I don’t know anything about that at the moment,” Altiparmak stated.

“I listen to all the teams who want to discuss a move. I work like that but I don’t finalise or talk publicly about anything without informing the club first.

Inter could however, face competition from the Premier League according to the Express who claim that Liverpool and Everton are also in the race.

The attacking full-back has eight assists and one goal in 27 appearances for Fenerbahce this season.

The Yellow Canaries take on their bitter rivals Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig this weekend. Fenerbahce are three points behind leaders Besiktas and are seven points ahead of Konyaspor who sit in third.
