Emre Can is expected to make his 11th start in a row in the Merseyside derby against Everton.
Liverpool are unbeaten verses Everton since October 2010.
Can has featured as a defender in the Reds last 11 games but got the opportunity to showcase his midfield ability in the recent FA Cup Fourth Round replay against Bolton.
Liverpool won the game 2-1 and Can who initially started in defence excelled when he was pushed forward into a midfield role.
The 21-year-old struck the post with a long range effort and provided a sublime assist for Raheem Sterling on 86 minute to level the scores.
Can has made a total of 19 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
