Ex-England international reveals prediction for Liverpool v Swansea City clash

Former Arsenal midfielder and England international Paul Merson has revealed his prediction for tonight’s encounter between Liverpool and Swansea City.

Merson runs a weekly column for Sky Sports where he tries to correctly predict every top flight score on a weekly basis.

According to the SkySports pundit, Liverpool will record a comfortable win over the Swans. Merson believes Swansea City will not be able to cope with Liverpool’s attacking threat.

The former Arsenal man went on to predict a 4-0 victory for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“It was not the worst result in the world for Swansea on Saturday the way Palace have been playing (1-1), but I just think Liverpool are irresistible, are they not?” Merson told SkySports.

Germany international of Turkish decent Emre Can is available to start tonight’s game.

Liverpool were held to a 3-3 draw by Arsenal in the Premier League on Friday. The Reds know a victory tonight will move them back into the top four.

Meanwhile, Swansea City find themselves at the bottom of the table after 19 games. A victory could, however, take them above West Brom and Bournemouth.
