Ex Man Utd star travels with Fenerbahce squad ahead of Europa League tie

Fenerbahçe striker Robin van Persie will be hoping for his first start since joining the club from Manchester United last month.

The 32-year-old striker has been included in the 20-man squad that travelled to Greece ahead of the Europa League play-off tie against Atromitos.

Van Persie has yet to make a start for the Yellow Canaries but made his official debut in the goalless draw against Shakhtar Donetsk and his league debut in the 2-0 win over Eskişehirspor last weekend.

The Dutch star has yet to gain full match fitness but could be ready in time for the Atromitos clash.

Former United winger Luis Nani has also been included in the squad as have all the summer signings other than 20-year-old Ozan Tufan and defender Simon Kjaer who is out suspended.
