Ex Man Utd striker Van Persie reported to have agreed terms with Barcelona

Fenerbahçe striker Robin van Persie is reported to have agreed terms with Barcelona according to Fanatik.

The report sources Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad as breaking the story that claims the reigning La Liga champions and Van Persie have reached an agreement.

Van Persie joined Fenerbahçe from Manchester United on a three-year deal over the summer transfer window and already has five goals to his name this season however, there have been rumours of a rift building between him and head coach Vitor Pereira.

The Champions League title holders reportedly want to strengthen their squad after a succession of injuries have left the squad lacking quality in depth.

The Dutch star recently added further fuel to the fire when he refused to rule out speculation linking him with a move to the the La Liga giants.

“Nobody know what can happen in the future in Football. I have learnt not to make plans,” Van Persie stated (via Radyospor) when asked about reports linking him with Barcelona.

Barcelona are currently serving a FIFA transfer ban which will be lifted by the winter break allowing the club to sign and register new players again.
