Mesut Ozil played a staring role in Germany’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Italy yesterday evening.
Germany boss Joachim Low has decided to give Arsenal star Mesut Ozil a spot in the starting line-up but rested Liverpool’s Emre Can.
The World Cup winners were in ruthless form and were ahead after 24 minutes via a strike from Tony Kroos. Mario Gotze doubled the German’s lead shortly before half time.

El Shaarawy scored a consolation goal for the visitors seven minutes from full time.
