Turkey lost their opening Euro 2016 match against Croatia 1-0 at the Parc des Princes in Group D yesterday.
The game featured two players from Barcelona on opposing sides – Rakitic for Croatia and Arda Turan for Turkey.
The Turkish international winger started but did not exactly put on his best performance.
We took a look at fans reactions to his display on Twitter after the game.
There was some excitement at the prospect of Group D pitching several Barcelona players against one another.
@ArdaTuran Spain, Turkey and Croatia! Should be fun in the Barcelona changing room!!

And it looked to be an interesting match up between Turan and his Croatia opponents.

Turan went into the game having been involved in 9 goals in his last 11 games for Turkey and having created the most chances for his side.

Turan did not however, deliver on the pitch.
Arda Turan, Calhanoglu and Ozyakup fully didn't turn up today

Most of these reactions were actually pretty tame.

A disastrous game by Calhanoglu. Not to mention Arda Turan.#TUR

Turan was also criticised for spending too much time filming promotional videos instead of training.
