Emre Can played the full 90 minutes in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Stoke City in the first leg of the Semi Final’s in the League Cup.
The 21-year-old started the game in central midfield but had to move into defence for the final minutes of the game following a hamstring injury to Kolo Toure.
Jordon Ibe scored the games only goal in the 37th minute. Stoke were unable to draw level despite creating chances in the second half.
Can has been a constant feature in the Red’s starting line-up since the appointment of Klopp.
The 21-year-old started alongside Lucas and Joe Allen in midfield.Can has provided one assist and one goal in 28 appearances for Liverpool this season.
