Manchester United are close to completing the transfer of İlkay Gündoğan from Borussia Dortmund according to Goal.
The report states that the Red Devils have agreed personal terms with the German International. Gundogan’s girlfriend also dropped a hint that the Dortmund star will be making a switch to Old Trafford.
United have been closely linked with Gündoğan ever since he rejected extending his contract with Dortmund.

“Playing outside Germany is one of my big goals. If one day I leave here, I’d like to play in Spain or for one of the big teams in England,” Gündoğan was quoted as saying in the Daily Mirror at the turn of the year.
Gündoğan has five assists and three goals in 31 appearances for Dortmund despite spending much of the season out injured and is almost certain to leave the Bundesliga outfit over the summer.
United could still face competition from Barcelona and fellow Premier League outfit Arsenal but it does look like he will be joining the Red Devils.
