Germany beat Italy for the first time in 21 years at the Allianz stadium last night and they did it in style recording a 4-1 victory over the Azzurri.
Liverpool star Emre Can did not start for Germany but he did make a second half appearance playing the last 20 minutes as a substitute for Thomas Muller.

Can was one of two ethnic Turks in the Germany national team along with Mesut Ozil who he celebrated with after the Arsenal star scored from the penalty spot.

Some Liverpool fans hoped Can used the opportunity to tell his Germany international teammates why they should join the Reds over the summer.
