Mesut Ozil played the full 90 minutes during Arsenal’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Barcelona.
The 27-year-old played in his favoured number ten role behind Olivier Giroud but was unable to dictate the play.
In Ozil’s defence the Gunners were limited to just 25% of possession meaning the Germany international was in main restricted to taking set peices.
Following the game we took to social media to see how Ozil’s performance went down with fans. The Germany international was widely criticised for failing to stamp his authority on the game.
Mesut Ozil doesn't deserve the criticism. The hardest worker on the team behind Alexis.
