Fans react to Mesut Ozil's performance in Arsenal 1 – 0 Newcastle

Mesut Özil played a key role in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle United yesterday in the Premier League.

The Gunners now have a two point gap between themselves and second placed Leicester City.

Laurent Koscielny who scored the only goal of the game on 70 minutes – although it did come as a result of an Özil corner.

Özil made three key passes over the 90 minutes and made the joint highest number of successful dribbles (2).

The 27-year-old has been in sensation form of late having provided 16 assists in 18 league games – the highest in the Premier League.

Özil has also been awarded two Player of the Month awards for October, November and is currently favourite to win the December addition as well.

Arsenal take on Sunderland in the FA Cup next weekend and travel to Anfield to face Liverpool in their next league games.

Arsenal have only won two Premier League games without a goal or an assist from Mesut Ozil this season – both against Newcastle.
