Felipe Melo linked with Napoli move

Galatasaray midfielder Felipe Melo has been linked with a summer move to Napoli according to Fanatik.

The Serie A outfit are reported to be interested in the experienced midfielder but he still has a year left on his contract and is one of the highest paid players on the Galatasaray team.

Melo has experience playing in Italy having enjoyed stints at Fiorentina and Juventus before joining the Istanbul giants.

The 31-year-old is currently out injured and only recently returned to individual training after recovering from a hernia operation.

The Brazilian midfielder has started being introduced to team training sessions however, Melo still faces a race against time to fully recover in time for the Trabzonspor game.

The 30-year-old joined the Istanbul giants on a permanent deal from Juventus worth £3 million last summer after playing the previous two seasons on loan at the Lions.

Melo has lifted the Süper Lig title and the Turkish Cup since moving to Turkey.

Galatasaray are currently first in the title race, two points ahead of second placed Fenerbahçe.
