Felipe Melo has stated that Galatasaray must win games like this weekends clash against Trabzonspor if they are to win the league.
The 31-year-old midfielder spoke to GSTV today ahead of Saturdays game with the Black Sea Storm.
“Everybody knows how important this weekends game is for us,” Melo said.
“Trabzon are our rivals, it is a derby game. Trabzonspor’s players will be motivated to impress their new manager.
“They have a strong squad however, if we want to win the league we need to win these games.
“I am sure the fans will support us like they always do, they never let us down.”
Melo has made 11 appearances for Galatasaray this season.
