Felipe Melo – ‘We beat the best team in Turkey’ [divider]
Galatasaray midfielder Felipe Melo was full of praise for Beşiktaş following his sides 2-0 victory over the Black Eagles.
“I said before the game in my interview with GS TV that this was going to be a very tough game,” Melo said.
“We played against the best side in Turkey, they have been playing the best football.
“But today we had a great team spirit and everybody stuck together and worked together for this important win.”
Melo also revealed that he does not believe his injury is serious.
“I do not think there is a big problem,” Melo said.
“I had a pain in my hamstring, the pitch was a real mess so I did not want to risk it.
“At Galatasaray it does not matter who plays because anyone who comes on will try just as hard.”
Melo scored the opening goal in Galatasaray’s derby win.
