Felipi Luis – ‘It was special playing against my friend Arda Turan’ [divider]
Brazil national team fullback Felipi Luis revealed that it was a special experience playing against his former Atletico Madrid teammate Arda Turan.
The Selecao beat Turkey 4-0 at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium but that did not stop Luis and Turan walking off the pitch together.
Luis shared an image with Turan from the game via his Instagram.
Luis and Turan played together at Atleti and guided the Madrid based side to their first La Liga title in 18 years.
The Rojiblancos also made the Champions League final which they lost against rivals Real Madrid.
Luis and Turan remain close friends and the Chelsea fullback often visits Turkey on holiday.
Luis gained widespread popularity in Turkey after he celebrated Atleti winning the La Liga title draped in a Turkish flag.
Turan is expected to start for Turkey against Kazakhstan on Sunday in the Euro 2016 qualification Group A.
