Başakşehir boss Abdullah Avcı has stated that Fenerbahçe are still his favourites to win the Süper Lig title.
“Fenerbahçe have more experience, they are a more settled team than their rivals, they will know how to get the job done over the last few weeks,” Avcı told Millet newspaper.
Fenerbahçe are the reigning Süper Lig champions but are currently third in the league.
The Yellow Canaries are however, just one point behind leaders Beşiktaş and second placed Galatasaray – who are second on goal difference.
Only six Süper Lig sides still have the same manager they started the season with.
Beşiktaş boss Slaven Bilic, Bursaspor manager Şenol Güneş, Fenerbahçe head coach İsmail Kartal, Mersin boss Rıza Çalımbay, Gaziantepspor manager Okan Buruk and Başakşehir coach Abdullah Avcı are the last men standing.
The Istanbul minnows are currently exceeding pre-season expectations and sit fifth in the league standings.
Başakşehir have the best defensive record in the league, the Istanbul minnows have only conceded 23 goals all season.
