Fenerbahce are not in talks with Everton midfielder

Fenerbahçe were recently reported to have made Everton an €8 million for midfielder Kevin Mirallas according to Eurosport Turkey.

The report claimed that Fenerbahçe board member Mahmet Uslu revealed the club are still in talks with the Everton midfielder.

A source close to the club however, told Turkish-football.com that Fenerbahçe are not currently in talks with the Belgium international. Fenerbahçe recently released a statement denying making an offer for the Everton midfielder.

Fenerbahçe are however, expected to make another transfer if they progress to past Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League preliminary play-off tie.

The Yellow Canaries have already made eight transfers this season including Manchester United duo Robin van Persie and Luis Nani. Lille centre-back Simon Kjaer and Brazil international Josef de Souza also joined the Istanbul giants.

Fenerbahçe take on Shakhtar in the second-leg in Ukraine on Wednesday and need a score draw or a win to progress. The first-leg at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium ended in a goalless draw.

The Yellow Canaires are currently managed by Vitor Pereira and finished last season as runners up in the Süper Lig.
