Fenerbahce crash out Europa League despite keeping unbeaten home record against Russian opposition

Fenerbahce crashed out of the Europa League despite keeping their unbeaten home record in European competition against Russian opposition intact.

The Yellow Canaries were held to a 1-1 draw against Krasnador at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.

Krasnador were gifted the opening goal inside the first 10 minutes following a defensive blunder from Martin Skrtel who passed the ball to the opposition allowing Smolov a clear one on one with the goalkeeper.

Fenerbahce did find an equaliser just before half-time. Skrtel made up for his error by scoring from a goal mouth scramble.

The Istanbul giants would have needed a victory by a margin of two goals at that point but they failed to find the back of the net again.

The remaining two Turkish league sides in the tournament Besiktas and Osmanlispor, take on Hapoel Beer-Sheva and Olympiacos, respectively.
