Fenerbahçe have released a statement on their official website denying interest in Chelsea defender John Terry for the second time.

The Yellow Canaries shared a similar statement just a few days before.

The Istanbul giants also denied making bids for fellow Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, Maicon and Botia.

The Daily Mail reported that Fenerbahçe were preparing to make a £2.5 million offer for the experienced defender.

The experienced defender has been a one-club player over the course of his career. A move away from Chelsea would be the first time he has played abroad or for another club.

Terry has 78 caps for the England national team and is expected to remain in London this season.

Fenerbahçe have however, become a popular destination for Premier League players following the arrival of Manchester United duo Robin van Persie and Luis Nani last month and ex Blues midfielder Raul Meireles also plays for the Canaries.

The Istanbul giants finished last season as runners-up in the domestic league and are coached by Portuguese manager Vitor Pereira.
