Fenerbahçe have released a statement on the stock exchange officially confirming negotiations with Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie.
Publicly listed Super Lig clubs generally release information of player talks as a formality before announcing the completion of the deal.
The Yellow Canaries followed the same policy when announcing the Nani deal from United last week.

The 31-year-old is expected to join the Yellow Canaries for a €6 million transfer fee on a three-year deal and become the highest paid member of the deal.
The Netherlands intentional striker is expected to arrive in Turkey before the end of the week and unveiled in a signing ceremony similar in the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium in-front of the fans.
Van Persie will become the second United player to join within the span of a week following the arrival of Portuguese international Nani.
The Dutch star played a key role in the Red Devils winning the 2012-13 Premier League title for a record 20th time.
