Fenerbahçe are on the verge of completing the signing of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie for a €6.5 million fee according to Eren Sarıgül of Turkish-football.com who spoke live on TRT Spor football program Futbol Günlüğü.
Sarıgül also stated that Fenerbahçe had agreed personal terms with the United striker and that he is expected to sign a three-year deal.
“The latest is that Van Persie will sign a three-year deal and arrive in Turkey by the end of the week,” he said.
As reported by Turkish-football.com’s Emre Sarıgül and the Guardian’s Jamie Jackson on Saturday Van Persie reached an agreement-in-principle with Fenerbahçe last week.
The United striker is expected to leave the Premier League giants over the next few days and complete his move to Fenerbahçe before Monday.
Van Persie would become the second United player to join Fenerbahçe within the span of a week. Nani completed his €6 million move to Fenerbahçe on Monday signing a three-year deal.
Fenerbahçe are currently managed by Portuguese manager Vitor Pereira and finished last season as runners-ıup.
