Fenerbahce are preparing a move for Chelsea’s out-of-form right back Branislav Ivanovic according to the Mirror.

The news comes following a report in the Daily Mail which suggests that Chelsea are on the lookout for a new right-back in January following a sharp dip in the Serbian international’s form.

The Mirror state that Fenerbahce are interested in signing Ivanovic and are preparing to open talks with the 31-year-old in January.

Ivanovic was dropped by Jose Mourinho for his sides win over Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the UEFA Champions League this week.

Fenerbahçe made a number of high profile signings this summer including former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie and Manchester United’s Luis Nani.

The Yellow Canaries already have Gokhan Gonul and Şener Özbayraklı at right-back therefore may opt to use Ivanovic at centre-back if he joins next summer.

Fenerbahce take on Bursaspor this weekend at the Şükrü Saracoğlu stadium.
