Fenerbahce are preparing a bid for Chelsea’s captain John Terry according to the Turkish sports paper Fanatik.

The daily newspaper claim that Fenerbahce will launch a bid for the former England international if a deal to sell Bruno Alves to Porto is agreed.

Fanatik go onto state that the Istanbul giants are willing to offer Terry €3.5 million per season.

Terry has been criticised following Chelsea’s slow start to the season winning just one point from their opening two games. The former England international has a year left on his contract with the Blues.

The 34-year-old was substituted off the field at half time during Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City.

Terry has spent his entire career at Stamford Bridge and has 78 caps for the England national team.

Fenerbahce have already  snapped up Robin van Persie and Luis Nani from the Premier League during the transfer window.
