Fenerbahce have set their sights on Chelsea’s out of favour striker Alexander Pato.
The Turkish outlet SporX have reported that the Istanbul Giants are preparing an offer for the Brazil international who is currently on loan at Chelsea.
Chelsea do however have the option to sign Pato whose loan deal expires at the end of the month.
Fenerbahce are on the look-out for a new striker after last season’s superstar transfer Robin van Persie failed to live upto lofty expectations. The Yellow Canaries fans are also unhappy with the club’s second choice striker Fernandao.
Pato only managed to make two Premier League appearances for Chelsea during his loan spell. The 26-year-old scored once from the penalty spot agaisnt Aston Villa.
Chelsea finished the season in 10th place while Fenerbahce ended up runners up behind their Istanbul rivals Besiktas.
Pato was not included in Brazil’s Copa America squad which was eliminated by Peru last week.
