Fenerbahce manager Ismail Kartal is preparing to switch his side from a 4-3-3 formation to a 4-4-2 with Moussa Sow and Emenike stating up front.

The 53-year-old has decided to make the switch following a string of poor results in the league which has seen them slip down to third place behind rivals Galatasaray and Besiktas.

Fenerbahce have been playing in a 4-3-3 formation since Aykut Kocaman’s spell in charge. The yellow canaries also played a 4-3-3 under Ersun Yanal last season.

The Istanbul giants take on bottom of the table Balikesirspor on Saturday at the Balıkesir Atatürk Stadium.

Fenerbahce have only one win to their name away from home this season in the league.
