Fenerbahce striker 'very happy' to have joined West Ham on loan

West Ham United’s latest signing Emmanuel Emenike has stated that he is ‘very happy’ to have joined the Premier League side from Fenerbahce.

The Hammers completed the loan transfer of Fenerbahce striker Emenike until the end of the season.

“I’m very, very happy and very, very excited that I’m here,” Emenike told West Ham TV.

“I have always known West Ham as a great Club. I’ve always been watching them. West Ham’s a great Club and I’m happy to be here.”

Fenerbahce president Aziz Yildirim confirmed that West Ham agreed to an £8.4 million release clause option for Emenike.

Yildirim also stated that the London based club are also set to pay the Yellow Canaries £760,000 in loan fees until the end of the season.

Emenike spent the first half of the season on loan at Al Ain scoring seven goal in 11 appearances.

The 28-year-old striker struggled at Fenerbahce last season scoring just five Super League goals.
