Fırat Aydınus to officiate his 22. derby

Fırat Aydınus will officiate his 22nd derby this weekend when he referees the Istanbul derby between Fenerbahce and Besiktas.

Serkan Ok and Aleks Taşçıoğlu will the be the second and third official while Deniz Çoban has been appointed as forth official.

The news was confirmed on the Turkish Football Federations official website.

The game takes place at the Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium on Sunday at 18:00 (GMT).

Aydınus has officiated 8 Fenerbahçe v Beşiktaş derbies. Besiktas have won four of these games while Fenerbahce have won three.

The 41-year-old referee has shown four red cards and 42 yellow cards during these encounters.

Fenerbahce are coming off the back of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Genclerbirlibi and will find themselves seven points behind Besiktas if they lose at home. The Yellow Canaries currently sit in third place with 50 points in 24 games.
