Former Arsenal & Everton defender to join Samuel Eto'o in Turkey

The former Arsenal & Everton centre-back Philippe Senderos has been in talks with Antalyaspor according to the Sky Italia reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.

The reports states that talks between the newly promoted Turkish Super Lig side and Senderos are ongoing.

Antalyaspor were promoted to top-tier football at the end of last season but have embarked on an ambitious transfer policy. The Scorpions recently completed the transfer of Samuel Eto’o to the club.

The Antalya based club is also in the process of completing a new 40,000 seater stadium.

Senderos has a year left on his contract with Aston Villa but is expected to leave this summer after making just eight appearances for the Premier League side last season.

The Switzerland international has previously played for Arsenal, Fulham, Everton, AC Milan and Valencia.

Antalyaspor take on Medipol Basaksehir in their opening game of the 2015-15 Turkish league season on August 15.

The Scorpions ended last season in fifth place in the PTT 1.Lig and were promoted via the play-offs.
