Schuster is currently out of work after his contract with Malaga was terminated in May 2014.

The German coach had built an impressive CV in Spain, winning the La Liga and Supercopa de Espana in 2007-08 but struggled in Turkey.

The German coach was appointed Beşiktaş manager on 10 June 2010 and made a string of high profile signings including Ricardo Quaresma, Roberto Hilbert and former Real Madrid midfielder Guti.

Schuster also signed Portuguese internationals Simão Sabrosa, Hugo Almeida and Manuel Fernandes.

The experienced coach was forced to resign on 15 March 2011 from Beşiktaş after a string of bad results.

Beşiktaş fell into financial ruin over the following seasons and have only recently started recovering.
