Former Liverpool midfielder Didi Hamann criticises Emre Can performance against Everton

Former Liverpool midfielder and football pundit Didi Hamam has criticised Emre Can’s performance against Everton in the Merseyside derby.

The Reds ended up drawing the game at Goodison Park 1-1 and head coach Brendan Rodgers lost his job shortly after.

Hamann was however, more concerned with Can’s antics especially the handbags he had with Everton midfielder Barkley.

The ex Germany international stated that Can was deservedly shown a yellow card but believed Barkley should not have been punished.

There was yet more criticism in store for Can as Hamann went onto claim that he should have been sent off for his overhead kick attempt.

The attempted overhead kick drew some pretty hilarious reactions on social media.

To be fair Can was played out of position in defence and although he was used in Rodgers back-three last season he has played most of the current league campaign in his preferred central midfield role.
