Former Liverpool star Dirk Kuyt 98% certain to join Feyenoord

Dirk Kuyt is on the verge of signing a deal which will see him move to Feyenoord at the end of the season according the the Netherlands based sports magazine Voetbal.

According to the the magazines reporter Martjin Krabbendam, Kuyt has agreed terms with Feyenoord and is 98% certain the former Liverpool winger will join the Eredivisie club.

The report goes onto state that Kuyt will sign a one year contract with Feyenoord keeping him at the club until July 2016.

Kuyt spent three seasons at Feyenoord, scoring 71 goals in 101 games, becoming a fan favourite at the Rotterdam based club.

Southampton have also been closely linked with the 34-year-old winger. Saints head coach Ronald Koeman – a former Feyenoord player – has been keen to bring in Kuyt.

The former Netherlands international joined the Yellow Canaries from Liverpool in 2012 for €1 million.

The 34-year-old now has six goals and two assists in all competitions this season.
