Kasımpaşa winger Ryan Babel has revealed that he would consider a reunion with former Liverpool teammate at LA Galaxy.
Babel told Goal: “America has always been a special place for me, since my youth. If it fits in with my career, it will be a challenge for me to play for a MLS team. If that would be Steven Gerrard’s club, that would be very special.”
Gerrard will join LA Galaxy after spending his entire playing career at the Reds winning countless trophies including the Champions League, UEFA Cup and FA Cup.
The experienced winger has been linked with a number of Premier League and Süper Lig clubs already this summer but still has one year on his contract.
The Kasımpaşa forward scored nine goals and provided five assists in 29 appearances for the Istanbul based Süper Lig outfit this season.
Babel scored a total of 22 goals in 146 appearances for Liverpool between 2007-11 during which time he played alongside Gerrard.
The 28-year-old winger later joined Kasımpaşa on a free transfer from Ajax in 2013.
The Netherlands international has 14 goals and 12 assists in 59 appearances for the Istanbul based club in all competitions.
