Former Man City & Tottenham striker could be on his way to the Turkish Super Lig

Emmanuel Adebayor has once again been linked with a move to the Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray.

The Turkish daily newspaper Bugun states that Galatasaray’s general secretary Fatih Isbecer has met with Adebayor’s representatives in London.

Galatasaray have also been linked with Loic Remy and Victor Ibarbo from the Premier League over the past week.

The Istanbul Giants have been on the hunt for a new striker since the summer transfer window and are also interested in Lokomotiv Moscow’s Oumar Niasse and Newcastle’s Papis Cisse.

The Lion’s first choice striker Burak Yilmaz has seven goals while his alternative Umut Bulut has only managed two goals in 16 games. Yilmaz has recently suffered a reoccurrence of a hamstring injury keeping him out until the end of January.

Galatasaray are currently in third place in the Turkish Super Lig with 30 points in 17 games. The Lion’s are 11 points behind league leaders Besiktas.
