Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie has been linked with a move to Stoke City just a year after leaving Manchester United

According to the Mirror Stoke City manager Mark Huges wants to bolster his attacking options by signing Van Persie and Saido Berahino. The daily tabloid paper goes onto say that the Netherlands international is unsettled in Turkey and wants to move back to the Premier League.

However, a source close to the player recently told Turkish-football.com that after a meeting between the Van Persie’s agent and Fenerbahce, an agreement was reached for the Dutch star to stay at the club.

Van Persie has two-years remaining on his contract with Fenerbahce who will play Champions League football this season.

If the 32-year-old makes the decision to join Stoke, he would have returned to the Premier League just a season after leaving Manchester United.

Van Persie star provided three assists and found the back of the net 22 times in 48 appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce last season.
