Galatasaray hopes of signing £14m Stoke City star boosted as Potters make late swoop for Swansea star Sam Clucas

Galatasaray have received a boost in their pursuit of Stoke City star midfielder Badou Ndiaye.

According to The Sun, Stoke City have tabled a £8 million offer for Swansea City’s Sam Clucas.

Meanwhile, Turkish outlet SporX have also reported on the story and state that Clucas is being viewed as a replacement for the out-bound Badou Ndiaye.

Galatasaray have been closely linked with a move for Ndiaye ever since Stoke City were relegated from the Premier League. The Istanbul giants are hoping to lure the Senegal international back to Istanbul with UEFA Champions League football.

Ndiaye made the move to Stoke City for £14 million from Galatasaray back in January. The 27-year-old has three-years remaining on his contract with the Potters and started during Stoke’s 3-1 defeat to Leeds United last weekend.

Galatasaray are hoping to sign Ndiaye on a season-long loan. Lions boss Fatih Terim is understood to be a huge fan of the midfielder and has instructed club officials to do everything they can to sign him.
