Galatasaray presidential candidate has revealed that he will target Bursaspor midfielder Ozan Tufan if elected in May according to Radyospor.
The Lions were reported to be interested in Tufan over the winter transfer window but pulled out of the race when Trabzonspor and rivals Fenerbahçe entered a bidding war.
Bursaspor president Recep Bölükbaşı confirmed that his side have received offers from Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor.
“Fenerbahçe and Trabzonspor have made offers for Ozan [Tufan]. We have held a meeting at the club to discuss these offers,” Bölükbaşı was quoted as saying on the official Bursaspor website.
The Yellow Canaries and Trabzonspor were however, unable to meet the Green Crocodiles €10 million valuation.
Bursaspor have now increased their valuation of Tufan to €15 million.
Manchester United have been closely linked with Tufan over the past few months.
United are reported to be preparing a €12 million bid for Tufan according to the Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
Former Kasımpaşa manager Shota Arveladze recently stated that Tufan could join Manchester United in the summer.
“Ozan Tufan could join Manchester United within a short space of time, I know a number of European football’s biggest clubs are keeping close tabs on him,” Arveladze told Fanatik.
