Galatasaray join the race to sign Manchester City striker

Galatasaray have joined the race to sign Manchester City’s out-of-favour striker Wilfred Bony.

The Turkish sports outlet Fotomac have reported that the Istanbul Giants are interested in signing the Ivory Coast international on a season long-loan.

Premier League champions Leicester City have also been linked with Bony by the Daily Star newspaper. The 27-year-old has endured a difficult spell at City since joining from Swansea City back in January 2015.

Bony fell out of favour at the Etihad last season and new manager Pep Guardiola is understood not be keen on him either.

The powerful defender hasn’t scored a goal since the turn of the year and Bony has struggles to adapt to City’s style of football.

The Mirror claim that Bony is also a target for his former side Swansea City. Bony joined City on a £25 million move but struggled to settle in despite scoring nine goals and providing six assists last season.
