Dzemaili has been removed from the Switzerland squad ahead of their friendly encounter with Poland tonight.
The former Napoli player is expected to return to Istanbul tomorrow.
Dzemaili joined Galatasaray on the deadline day in August from Napoli for €3 million.
The 28-year-old midfielder has 39 caps for Switzerland.
Dzemaili has made 12 appearances for Galatasaray this season.
