Euro giants receive transfer boost after Chelsea legend John Terry reveals he will leave

Chelsea legend John Terry has confirmed that he will be leaving the Premier League leaders at the end of the season.

“I feel I still have plenty to offer on the pitch but understand that opportunities here at Chelsea will be limited for me,” Terry, 36, said.

“I’m eager to carry on playing and so will be looking to continue with a new challenge.”

The experienced defender will have no shortage of suitors over the summer.

Turkish football media agency Fotospor have reported that Galatasaray have made Terry an offer using former player Harry Kewell as a third-party to forward the offer.

The Istanbul giants are keen on a one-year deal for the centre-back with the option to extend by a single season.

Terry is the most decorated individual in Chelsea club history, with four Premier League titles, one Champions League, five FA Cups, a Europa League and three League Cups.

The 36-year-old has made 713 appearances for the Blues since his 1998 debut – 578 as captain.
