Galatasaray return to winning ways but Man City loanee fails to make team

Galatasaray returned to winning ways following their shock 5-1 defeat against Basaksehir in the Istanbul derby last week.

The Lions beat Alanyaspor 2-0 at the Turk Telekom Arena with Yasin Oztekin scoring and provided the assist for Bafetimbi Gomis’ second of the evening.

Gomis now has 13 goals in 13 appearances for the Istanbul giants this season.

Manchester City loanee Jason Denayer was dropped from the squad due to injury.

Denayer is expected to recover in time for the derby clash against Besiktas next weekend.
