Galatasaray set sights on signing Man City defender on permanent deal

Man City transfer news Galatasaray Jason Denayer

Galatasaray are looking into the possibility of signing Manchester City’s young defender Jason Denayer on a permanent deal.

The 20-year-old is currently on a season-long deal at the Istanbul based club and the Milliyet newspaper suggest that the Lion’s want to open talks with City.

The report states that Galatasaray both have an option to buy the Belgium international and an option to expend the loan deal by a year.

Denayer had established himself as a key member of the Lions team and played regular league and Champions League football as a full-back and centre-back before getting injured.

The Belgium international defender has found himself played in an unorthodox role as a right-back but has managed to keep Galatasaray veteran full-back Sabri Sarıoğlu out of the team.

Denayer has had no trouble settling into life in Istanbul, in fact he has already developed a taste for one of the most popular drinks in the country; tea or çay (chai) as the locals call it.
