Galatasaray star Wesley Sneijder has revealed that he will celebrate if he scores for the Netherlands against Turkey in the Euro 2016 Group A qualifier.

“I will cheer and celebrate if I score against Turkey!” Sneijder was quoted as saying by Goal.

“Although I don’t know for certain yet because we will have to wait to see what kind of match it is.”

Sneijder also revealed that he expects a large turnout from Turkish fans but underlined that there should be more Dutch fans in the stands.

“I expect a lot of Turkish fans but even more Dutch fans,” he added.

The 30-year-old playmaker also disclosed that he has not been in contact with his Galatasaray teammates in the lead up to the game.

“I haven’t had much contact with my Turkish team-mates; just this week, I don’t need to speak to them,” Sneijder said.

The Netherlands will take on Turkey in the 2016 European Championship group stages on March 28.

Sneijder joined Galatasaray from Inter in January 2013 and has a total of 30 goals and 14 assists in 93 games for the Lions.

The 30-year-old playmaker has won the Süper Lig, Turkish Cup and Turkish Süper Cup since his arrival in Turkey.
