Galatasaray board member Cüneyt Tanman will travel to England to hold talks with Robin Van Persie’s representative and put forward a contract worth €4 million per-season according to the Fanatik.
The Lions will make United a bid for Van Persie if the talks are successful.
Van Persie’s Netherlands international teammate Wesley Sneijder is reported to be heavily involved in negotiations according to DHA.
Galatasaray have been using Sneijder as an intermediary to help convince Van Persie into making the move.
Van Persie has hinted that he could consider his options over the summer as he wants first team football.
Galatasaray could however, face competition from bitter rivals Fenerbahçe who are also reported to be closely linked with the Dutch star striker.
The Lions won the league title for the 20th time last season and went on to lift the Turkish Cup for the 16th time to win their sixth double.
